Qualifications
- 25 Ton Coast Guard Masters License
- ASA Certified Instructor in Basic Keelboat Sailing, Basic Coastal Cruising, and Bareboat Chartering
- US Sailing Certified Small Boat and Basic Keelboat Instructor
Howard grew up in Buffalo, NY, and learned how to sail on the Great Lakes. A sailing instructor since 1995, he has also taught sailing for the disabled. He has served as cruise captain in the Caribbean, and has bareboat chartered in Tahiti. He was also the helmsman for a first place finish at the Spinnaker Instructors Regatta in 2012, the luckiest race of his life! He has taught at Spinnaker Sailing since 2004, and looks forward to sharing his love for the art and science of sailing.
