Prerequisites: Bareboat Cruising (ASA 104), Coastal Navigation (ASA 105)  and have skippered at least 3 times on a boat over 30 ft

Learn to safely act as skipper and navigate a sailing vessel 30 to 50 feet in length in coastal and inland waters, in any conditions day or night.

Knowledge of sail theory and steering forces, advanced sail control, weather prediction using clouds and instruments, boat systems maintenance, heavy weather precautions, safety, and seamanship.

Includes: Weather and lee helm, sail shape and control, weather, seamanship, heaving to, lying a hull, towing a dinghy, anchoring, towing another boat, problem solving, night sailing, setting crew watch, steering a compass course at night, crew over board drills and more.
