Books

Dave Perry’s Understanding the Racing Rules of Sailing, published through US Sailing:

This book is in Dave’s very conversational style, with many anecdotes and explanations.  Great if you like sailing yarns, with the rules woven in.

The tradition of Paul Elvstrom explains the Racing Rules has been continued by Soren Krause, with an excellent ‘quick reference’ style format.

This has been the go-to book for racers preparing for the protest room for six decades and comes highly recommended.

The Rules in Practice written by World Sailing Judge Brian Willis.
