Half Moon Bay (October 17 - 19, 2025)

 Experience “blue-water” sailing along the California Coast for 3 days, 2 nights on the Jeanneau 449. This round-trip cruise goes from Redwood City to Half Moon Bay and back to Redwood City.   The 125+ mile trip provides a great mix of both Bay and ocean sailing conditions with beautiful views, great sailing, and a chance to see a lot of different sea life.  You’ll be an active part of the crew rotating through various roles including helms person and sail trimmer.

On this trip you’ll experience sailing and steering in an ocean swell as well as plotting and navigating. 

The Boat: The Jeanneau 449 Zosca” is equipped with Radar, AIS, EPIRB, life raft, jack lines and tethers for offshore safety.  Each boat’s crew will get together before the trip to go over what to bring, discuss the trip and put together a meal plan.

Agenda: Leave Spinnaker Sailing, Redwood City, Friday late morning/early afternoon to SF; leave SF Saturday morning for Half Moon Bay : leave HMB Sunday morning and arrive Spinnaker Sailing before sunset.

Cost per Cabin – $1,495.00 – $1,121.25 club members. (Each cabin can accommodate 1-2 persons)

Jack London Square Weekend Trip
(July 19 - 20, 2025)

Experience a fun city sail over the weekend, round-trip from South Beach Marina San Francisco.  The trip provides good sailing conditions, beautiful city views, sea birds, dolphins, sea lions and potential whales sightings.  We will sail around Alcatraz, then Treasure Island, Under the Golden Gate, overnight Jack London SQ. On this trip you’ll have an opportunity to steer, trim sail and other onboard tasks as part of the working crew. You’ll also experience plotting and navigating. We’ll spend the night on the boat at Jack London Square where we will eat ashore for dinner.

Heinold’s –  Step into history at Heinold’s First and Last Chance Saloon, a one-of-a-kind bar built in 1883 from a whaling ship’s timbers. Once Jack London’s favorite hangout, it’s packed with nautical charm, crooked floors from the 1906 quake, and over a century of stories. A true Oakland original — don’t miss it!

The Boat:

We will use the Catalina 42 for this trip.  Crew members will connect before the trip to go over what to bring, discuss the trip and put together a meal plan.

The Suggested Itinerary: 

Saturday
Depart South Beach 1000, sail Alcatraz, then Treasure Island, Under the Golden Gate, overnight Jack London SQ
 
Sunday
Depart 1000 tour Oakland estuary to Coastguard Island, then USS Hornet and Saildrone base, return back to South Beach 4.30pm

San Francisco / Sausalito (June 14-15, 2025) Father's Day Weekend Trip

It’s been often said that if you’re living in the San Francisco Bay Area and you’re not sailing it’s like living in the Alps and not skiing.  San Francisco Bay has some of the greatest sailing conditions you’ll find anywhere. When combining great sailing conditions with spectacular scenery a weekend sailing on the Bay is always a memorable experience. Join us for a fun weekend get away and experience the sights and joy of a weekend sailing.

The Boats: We use the Beneteau 39 for this trip. The Beneteau has 3 staterooms and 2 heads. Boat also comes equipped with auto pilot and GPS, chart plotter and radar and AIS.

Provisioning: Skipper and crew will get together ahead of time to choose food and beverage options. Most likely we’ll plan to have breakfast and lunches with dinner ashore.

North Bay Weekend Trip (March 22 - 23, 2025)

This trip falls on the same weekend as SailGP, the San Fransisco Sail Grand Prix!

Sail to the North bay for the weekend.  This round-trip cruise goes from Redwood City to San Francisco, back to Redwood City.   Experience North Bay sailing conditions with beautiful views of the city, and a chance to see sailboat racing at its best.  You’ll be an active part of the crew.

We’ll spend two days sailing the North Bay and one night on the boat at the docks in SF where we will eat ashore for dinner.

The BoatThe Beneteau 39 is equipped with Radar, AIS, EPIRB, life raft, jack lines and tethers for offshore safety.  Each boat’s crew will get together on Friday evening before the trip to go over the details.

Agenda: Leave Spinnaker Sailing, Redwood City, Saturday morning: Sail to the North Bay and around the racing area and stay in the north bay over night.  leave SF Sunday and arrive Spinnaker Sailing in the afternoon.

Farallon Islands (February 15 - 17, 2025)

Experience “blue-water” sailing along the California Coast for 3 days, 2 nights. This round-trip cruise goes from Redwood City to San Francisco, then out around the Farallon’s, back to SF and finally back to Redwood City.   The 125+ mile trip provides a great mix of both Bay and ocean sailing conditions with beautiful views, great sailing, and a chance to see a lot of different sea life.  You’ll be an active part of the crew rotating through various roles including helms person and sail trimmer.

 

On this trip you’ll navigate out the Gate and follow the coast north, then around the islands and head back to SF.  You’ll experience sailing and steering in an ocean swell as well as plotting and navigating. We’ll spend two nights on the boat at the docks in SF where we will eat ashore for dinners and breakfasts.

The BoatThe Beneteau 39 is equipped with Radar, AIS, EPIRB, life raft, jack lines and tethers for offshore safety.  Each boat’s crew will get together on Wednesday evening before the trip to go over what to bring, discuss the trip and put together a meal plan.

Agenda: Leave Spinnaker Sailing, Redwood City, Saturday morning; leave SF Sunday morning for Farallon Islands : leave SF Monday morning and arrive Spinnaker Sailing at about 4 PM.
