After decades of working in leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, and sailing just as a hobby, Karin finally switched over to pursuing sailing full-time. She grew up sailing extensively with her dad and skippering their boat with friends in the Baltic. For the past 10 years she has sailed and raced a lot in the Bay Area, as well as done deliveries in the Med, across the Atlantic (twice) and in the Caribbean. Locally, she crewed on USA 76 and instructing at Spinnaker Sailing. “On the side”, Karin also just bought a boat and been accepted into the High Latitude Challenge.
