The Boats
The boats are are Moorings Beneteau 39 and 44 foot yachts. These boats are designed for up to 8 people but we are limiting the number of people in each boat for the most comfort afloat by not making any single people share their cabins.

Dining
Dining out in Croatia is a major part of the whole experience. Unlike our other cruises, where boats are stocked with extensive provisions, we’ll be taking most meals ashore in the numerous restaurants located at every port. Good places to eat are plentiful in Croatian harbors.Bareboat Charter Certification
Certification is available to Basic Coastal Cruising graduates. The cost is $315.00 extra for text book, certification & instruction. Graduates can do their own bareboat chartering and with experience may qualify to skipper Spinnaker Sailing Vacation boats in the future.
The Text, Cruising Fundamentals, should be obtained as soon as possible to allow enough study time. The written test can be taken at Spinnaker Sailing in Redwood City any time before or after the cruise. On the water requirements will be met during the cruise.
Students who want to obtain Bareboat Charter Certification must charter at the Basic Coastal Cruising level at least three times before the cruise.
Activities in Croatia
Croatia is a wonderful place to explore by boat. Island life centers around the harbors where there are many tavernas (restaurants) and shops. People can sit back and relax in the open air tavernas for hours. The food is excellent with many local specialities. There are also many spots to visit with ruins dating back thousands of years. Exploring ashore can be done by foot, taxi or in rental cars and scooters. But the best way to explore Croatia is by sea.

Spinnaker Sailing provides bareboats and crewed yachts at these and other locations in the South Pacific, Caribbean, Mediterranean and Indian Ocean. Join us on any of our group cruises or CLICK HERE let us help you book your own private cruise with Sunsail, Sun Yachts, Footloose, or The Moorings.

With a sunny Mediterranean climate, Croatia is a spectacular cruising ground with abundant anchorages, marinas and ancient cities. Dalmatia is the largest tourist region and has three ancient cities: medieval Zadar dating back 3,000 years; cosmopolitan Split, with a 1,700 year old Diocletian palace; and historic Dubrovnik to the far south. At the center of this cruising ground is the base in Kremik served by the nearby Split Airport. Sailing from Kremik is north toward the rocky islands of the Kornati National Park and south toward the vinyards and olive trees of the Dalmationa Islands.

Join us as an individual, couple or put together your own group to fill your own boat.

If you have your own group and can act as skipper, you may charter your own boat and join the flotilla. You can choose the size of boat and other options. Contact Bob at Spinnaker for information about cost and availability for doing your own boat. You can also book your own private cruise through Spinnaker Sailing for charters with Sunsail, Footloose, and The Moorings.

The medieval city of Dubrovnik is located in the eastern cruising area of Croatia, the heart of the Adriatic. We’ll eplore the enchanting islands of Korcula, known for its picturesque medieval towers, or Mijet, where Odysseus is said to have been enraptured by the nymph Calypso. This easy sailing area offers graceful villages that still retain their Roman and Renaissance ambience.
