Sardinia and Corsica is our cruising area for a once in a lifetime bareboat charter cruise this September. One of the largest islands in the Mediterranean Sea, The Italian island of Sardinia has over a thousand miles of coastline. Located west of Italy and south of France, it is known for its natural beauty and history. The charter base is located near the northern tip of the island where it’s just a day sail to the French island of Corsica. Much of the Straits of Bonifacio between Sardinia and Corsica is a marine sanctuary with numerous islands both inhabited and uninhabited.
Both Sardinian and Corsican cuisine is known for a variety of specialty Mediterranean dishes that are waiting to be tried. With so many excellent opportunities for eating out, Spinnaker Sailing will be supplying the boat with a minimum provision order to allow us to eat aboard on the occasions when it’s impractical to eat out.
A transom barbecue as well as a fully equipped galley is provided for cooking aboard although most dinners will be had ashore.
