Spinnaker Sailing School

Spinnaker Sailing School offers sailing lessons on the San Francisco Bay ranging from small sailboats to large ocean going yachts. Our sailing lessons are designed to give you American Sailing Association (ASA) Certification.

Your sailing lessons begin with a 2 hour classroom session and then proceed to a 4 hour on the water practice each day. With a student teacher ratio of no more than 4 students per instructor you are assured plenty of individualized attention. You'll be actively trimming sails, steering, and working together as a crew, as you perform on the water maneuvers and drills. Each class follows a step by step progression working on practical skills and self confidence.

San Francisco Bay is perhaps one of the most challenging and exhilarating places to sail. During certain times of the year the conditions on the San Francisco Bay can be demanding. Learning to sail here on the South San Francisco Bay prepares you to handle these conditions with understanding and confidence. This preparation will give you the confidence to feel comfortable sailing almost anywhere else in the world.
