Sequoia Yacht Club Beercan Series (click here for racing schedule)
This casual race series is coordinated with the Yacht club next door and is an excellent opportunity to learn the basics of sailing and get some practical experience racing. You must be a Basic Coastal Cruising Graduate or better in order to participate on a Spinnaker Sailing Skippered yacht. Aside from that there are no more requirements except to have fun. A beercan race is a yachting race where by a group of intelligent and masterful sailers race around a pre arranged course and some idiot always ends up winning : ) Yes these are informal gatherings and there is no protesting allowed. If you make a mistake- oh well! Youll do better next time. Please read the "Ten Commandments" below for more explaination on what the atmosphere during a beercan race should be like.

This is FREE! for Club members.
Family and Friends are only $30 per person.
