Your Boat as an Income Earning
Asset:
Each month you will receive a detailed breakdown of the yacht
charter work your boat did for that month. Yacht charter revenue
is split 50/50 between the yacht owner and Spinnaker Sailing.
When the owners share of the charter revenue exceeds the cost
of berthage and any maintenance carried out then we send you a
check with your statement.
Tax Benefits:
Having your yacht in the Spinnaker Sailing yacht charter program
establishes your boat as a business asset. As a business
asset you are able to claim all expenses including depreciation
and interest on financing as a tax deduction. Please ask
for a financial proforma for the model of yacht you are considering.
