Spinnaker Sailing is proud to announce the second of a series of Summer Crew List and Sailing Club mixer Barbecues. These are the years best events and are absolutely free for club members. Anyone is welcome but please RSVP a week in advance so we can have enough burgers and sausages for everyone. We will also serve beer/wine for adults and sodas and cookies for the kids.

This all classroom course runs six consecutive thursday evenings from 7pm to 10pm. Our own sailing master Bob Diamond will be teaching this course. This class is limited to the first 12 students so Reserve your space now. This is a must have class for cruising skippers. Club members get 25% off this already inexpensive class.

Basic Coastal Review Class

This is an all on the water course designed to get you sailing safely and with confidence. This class is limited to the first 4 students so Reserve your space now. This is a great class for skippers or their crew who have taken the basic classes and need a little skills refresher with a skipper before taking on the responsibilities of chartering a boat.

Bareboat Charter Class

Get ready to sail the big boats. Learn to use the inboard diesel engines, electrical panels, kitchens, heads and all of the nice toys that accompany a well appointed sailing yacht. The first weekend you will study the boats systems and motoring and docking a larger boat and plan your trip to the north bay. The second weekend you will sail and navigate your way to the north San francisco bay, moore the boat and possibly go to town for dinner, then sleep aboard the yacht in the shadow of the City. In the morning you will cook and eat breakfast on board while taking your test, sail around San Francisco for awhile and then sail and navigate your way back home. They are run only once per month so If you or anyone you know is interested please register now.

Spinnaker Class

This Spinnaker Class is totally dedicated to teaching you the ins and outs of using the Spinnaker. You will learn all the basics of hoisting, dousing, gybing, packing and handling the granddaddy of all sails. This class is only run once a month. Motoring and Docking Endorsement ASA 118

This ASA endorsement class offers the skipper more tools in their docking and close quarters motoring toolbox so they well have more options in different situations and conditions as well as the confidence and that comes with it.

Mini cruise to the North Bay

We have a two day cruise to the north bay. We plan on getting a slip at Pier 40 to listen to the music and watch the fireworks at the annual KFOG Kaboom. Reservations are required and Club members Save 25%.

All Day Sail to San Francisco

We will head north to the central bay and then have a nice peaceful sail back home. This is not only a fantastic way to spend the day on the bay, but also a great experience for any aspiring skippers who wish to sail up to the north bay with their own family or crew. Contact us for availability.

Its time again to go sailing in the early evenings on the San Francisco Bay. This fun two hour sail is skippered by one of our instructors so you can get some sailing tips or just sit back and relax and enjoy the end of a day on the bay!

Croatia - September 8 - 19

We are now booking cabins for a trip to scenic and historic Croatia. This jewel is often referred to as "The way the Mediterranean used to be." It's not often a sailing club gets to the Adriatic so this could be your only chance. This will be our first trip to the Dalmatian Islands, If you think you would like to go contact Bob A one hundred dollar deposit is all that is needed to reserve your spot.

Beercan Racing

Attention all Club Members.

The wednesday evening Beercan races are a great way to get out on the bay, have some fun, and meet other club members too. These races are FREE for our club members and you can even charter a boat and bring your own crew (or family) if you like. Be sure to make your reservations early to ensure you get a boat or a spot on an Instructor skippered boat.

If you couldn't make the beercan race meeting be sure to read the Ten Commandments of Beercan Racing. This will get you most of the information necessary to have fun and be safe on the bay during a beercan race and let you know the true spirit in which we hold these events.
