Cheeseburger In Paradise 2007


Spinnaker Sailing is proud to announce the upcoming Cheeseburger in Paradise Regatta and BBQ August 25th. The winners of last years trophy will try to defend the "big brass burger " so get your crews together and reserve a boat soon. An instructor boat or two may be available for sailors without crews. Youth Summer Sailing Camp

Boys and Girls between the ages of 12 -16 are invited to come learn to sail Keelboats here in Redwood City. Our warm temperature, steady and stress free environment makes this a perfect place to learn to sail. Click Here for details Sign up early for the best dates. Spaces are limited and only those signed up and confirmed will be guaranteed participation.

New Club Benefit

Spinnaker Sailing is adding even more value to its club membership by having a different kind of sale. All club members will now receive 25% off on all retail items. This includes jackets,
t-shirts, hats, gloves and more.

SailMates

An email crewlist is available to Spinnaker Sailing Club members, Instructors, students, graduates, and Charterers. Sign up Here and you will be included on an email group list. Anyone sending an email to the group looking for crew will have the entire group looking at your request. This is so much easier and you will have much more luck finding crew. All those not able to go sailing on that day or time can just delete the invitation. Also, you can view this list online from any computer so you can be anywhere when inspiration hits and you decide you want to go sailing. Just go to Google click on "Groups" and type in "sailmates." Login and you can read and send messages from any computer.

Sailing on the Bay

Afternoon Sailing trips are from 12p - 4p.The next one is on August 12.
The cost is Free for club members or $65 for non club members. Anyone can come. Sign up early. Registration is required.

Cruising News

Greece 2007

17 Lucky sailors will be heading off to Athens in September for the Greek Isles cruise Sept. 5 to 16. Although this trip has been full for several months Bob Diamond is available to help sailors plan their own cruise. Click Here for more info about cruising in Greece

British Virgin Islands

The Nov. 29 - Dec 9 British Virgin Islands cruise has only two remaining spaces on the five boats currently reserved. Although we may be able to obtain more boats if needed, fast action will be required to grab those two remaining spaces. Click Here for more info about cruising in BVI.

Summer BVI Trip being planned

We are contemplating setting up a special BVI trip in June of '08. This is in response to families and others who can only get away during school vacations. Possible dates are June 19 (Thursday evening departure) through Sunday, June 29. It could be one week earlier if everyone prefers. Except for the dates, this trip will be similar to the December BVI cruise. Please call Bob to get on the list if you'd like to get out in June. Click Here for BVI Trip web page.

New! Tahiti 2008 Trip!

It's not too soon to be signing up for the Tahiti 2008 Cruise. This is our longest and most exotic cruise to Tahiti, Raiatea, Tahaa, Bora Bora, and Huahine. See details on our web site or talk with Bob Diamond. Click Here for more details about our Tahiti Trip.

Mini Cruise to Alameda

Join us for a 2 day sail up to the north bay. We will leave on Saturday morning August 18th, and return Sunday evening on the 19th. Anyone wishing to come along should contact Mike or Bob at Spinnaker Sailing ASAP. This trip is sure to sell out.
