14th Annual KFOG KaBoom
Saturday, May 12, 2007, 4 - 10pm
Piers 30/32, San Francisco

We will be having skippered boats and charter boats available to buddy boat up to San Francisco on May 12 and get a slip at pier 40 to watch the fireworks.   After spending the night at the slip you can cook breakfast on the boat or visit a local restaurant, then sail around ht islands before coming back to Redwood City on May 13. Due to the limited seating available, please let us know if you're coming. (650) 363-1390. $250 for non-members... members get 25% discount.

Bareboat Charter Class
May 5,6,12,13

On top of learning how to sail bigger boats and using all that cool new gear, taking this class on the San Francisco Bay is great experience for learning how to get to and from the Gate safely and confidently. Space is limited, so call soon.

Spinnaker Class
May 19,20,26,27

Learn how to us the king of the sails. This class has minimal classroom time and is almost entirely hands on. If you have been sailing for awhile and are wondering what is next- this is it!

Wednesday Evening Racing

The racing season has started. Any skipper with experience can reserve a boat to race on Wednesday evening. Club members and their more experienced friends can also race on a boat with an instructor. There is no cost but members should sign up no later than Monday to get on a boat. The Sequoia Yacht club opens for burgers and drinks to Spinnaker sailors after the race. This is a great way to connect with others who enjoy sailing. Don't for get to sign up early as no one will be allowed on a boat the day of the race without a reservation.(650) 363-1390


Sailing on the Bay

Aquatic Park Sail -

A weekend trip May 27 we are having an all day sail to San Francisco with a tentative destination of Aquatic Park. Get there early so we can leave on time. Anchoring in Aquatic park and having lunch would be a great way to spend the day.

St. Martin Trip

The St. Martin trip is over and we are all looking forward to new pictures. Stay tuned for a link to the slide show.

Greece Trip

Greece, Sep 5 - 16 is also full but we can take more people is if signed up while there is still another boat available. At the moment there are only one or two boats remaining to be chartered there.

BVI Trip

This is the time to consider getting signed up for the BVI trip, Nov 29 - Dec 9. Right now we have the flexibility to customize boats for those who may wish to get a catamaran or big boat (50 ft.) experience &/or certification.
