Bareboat Charter Class

On top of learning how to sail bigger boats and using all that cool new gear, taking this class on the San Francisco Bay is great experience for learning how to get to and from the Gate safely and confidently. Space is limited, so call soon.
Spinnaker Class
April 21,22,28,29
Learn how to us the king of the sails. This class has minimal classroom time and is almost entirely hands on. If you have been sailing for awhile and are wondering what is next- this is it!

Wednesday Evening Racing Starts April 11
The racing season starts April 11. Any skipper with experience can reserve a boat to race on Wednesday evening.Club members can also race on a boat with an instructor. There is no cosxt but members should sign up no later than Monday to get on a boat. The Sequia Yacht club opens for burgers and drinks to Spinnaker sailors after the race. This is a great way to connect with others who enjoy sailing.
Weekender - April 21 - 22 to San Francisco
Take off on a weekend and go sailing to the City. We will have a skipper on the boat and will be getting a slip at Pier 40 which gets us access to the wharf, and is walking distance to Pac Ball Park. Not so coincidentally the Giants will be playing the Diamondbacks at 1:05 pm each day. For ticket info click on the above dates.

New Blog Author-
Introducing Leslie Waters as the new author of the blog, "The San Francisco Bay Sailor." Leslie will be updating this blog regularly with slide shows and a blog of his sailing excursions on the bay. Leslie is a Spinnaker Sailing Instructor and has already been blogging and photocasting for several years and now is going to lend his expertise to our club. Look for his blog coming soon!

Three Trips for 2007
St. Martin Trip
The St. Marting trip will be happening April 19-29 this month and is full.
Geece Trip
Greece, Sep 5 - 16 is also full but we can take more people is if signed up while there is still another boat available. At the moment there are only one or two boats remaining to be chartered there.

This is the time to consider getting signed up for the BVI trip, Nov 29 - Dec 9. Right now we have the flexibility to customize boats for those who may wish to get a catamaran or big boat (50 ft.) experience &/or certification.
