Qualifications
- 50 Ton US Coast Guard Master license with sailing endorsement
- ASA Instructor certifications: BKS, BCC, Coastal Navigation, Bareboat Cruising, Docking and Cruising Catamaran instructor
- US Sailing Instructor certifications: Basic Keelboat, Basic Cruising and Bareboat Chartering
- Padi certified Divemaster
Rudi grew up in the Netherlands and started sailing there in the early 70’s. He has cruised in Europe, Australia, Mexico and the South Pacific. Participated in several Baja-HaHa cruiser rallies.
When he is not sailing, you can find him hiking the hills in the Bay area or exploring the California backroads on his motorcycle. He has been teaching at Spinnaker Sailing since 2008.
