Qualifications

Dave started sailing on small boats such as lasers, hobies, snipes and flying juniors at age 16 on the lakes in California. He began his association with Spinnaker Sailing and bay and coastal sailing in 1985 when he and his wife went through the classes here at Spinnaker and became members of our club. He returned in 1991 and became one of our instructors. In 1993 he received his ASA Instructor certification and has been teaching here regularly ever since. A number of his students have gone on to become instructors here at Spinnaker Sailing. Although he is certified to teach advanced classes, he favors teaching basic sailing in hopes of instilling in others his love of sailing.
