Bob in BVI

Bob began his sailing career when he was drafted into becoming a sailing instructor at the summer camp where he was a counselor in the early 1970’s. From that time on, sailing wasn’t just a hobby... it was an obsession. Bob's first boat was a 13' Banshee and then a Hunter-27 that he sailed on San Francisco Bay and nearby coastal waters. After working as an elementary school teacher in San Jose, Bob switched to teaching sailing full time at Spinnaker Sailing in Redwood City in 1984. He has been a sailing instructor ever since. Bob is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Master, ASA Instructor Evaluator and Program Director at Spinnaker Sailing. For the past twenty years he has been organizing and leading bareboat charter flotillas to the Caribbean, South Pacific, Mexico and the Mediterranean. Married (no kids) since 1971, Bob’s other activities include flying small planes, scuba diving, and photography.
